Here are some of the people responsible for DMO’s continued success and quality service—our employees!

Kay Simmons, Customer Service Representative

Kay Simmons has been in charge of our fundraising efforts for the Charles County Cancer Society Relay for Life since 1998.  Having lost both her father and more recently, her husband, to cancer, Kay has a very personal stake in the fight against this devastating disease.

As team captain, Kay helps organize various fundraising events like bake sales, car washes, and raffles, all year around. “We try to raise as much money as we can throughout the year, and then DMO matches us dollar for dollar,” she explains. “This past year we raised a total of $30,000.” 

Over the years the DMO team raised in excess of $250,000 for the Cancer Fund. In addition to the Charles County event, DMO also sponsors the Relay for Life in St. Mary’s County, for which Kay is the liaison.  Last year the company donated $4,000 to this worthy cause.  For more information about the Cancer Society Relay for Life, log onto www.relayforlife.org.
