Low sulfur fuel
The amount of sulfur in heating oil has been dramatically reduced from over 1% in 1970 to an average of .2% today—an 80% reduction. That means that the heating oil we deliver to your home burns with improved efficiency, is cleaner and has a lower impact on the environment.

At DMO, we place a high priority on heating and cooling systems that use low sulfur fuel and lowers the need for heating system maintenance related to furnace and boiler heat exchanger cleaning. The low sulfur fuel oil is available at a small marginal cost increase, and it is completely compatible with current fuels, equipment, storage and delivery operations.

Environmentally friendly equipment
As Maryland’s leading supplier of heating oil and related services, we’re naturally bullish on fuel oil. The issues that concern most people today — conservation, safety, service, cost and the environment — are all areas where oil heat has a clear advantage over other home heating systems.

The oil heat systems we sell, install and service generate less pollution than gas, and operate at near-zero levels of smoke and soot. They also consume less fuel. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the average oil heat system actually consumes 15% less fuel than the average gas heat system.
